Keep Sevier Beautiful Teen Advisory Board

The KSB Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a team of high school students that help KSB improve our county’s appearance through programs such as, beautification, litter prevention, waste reduction, and recycling. TAB has the opportunity to participate in various KSB programs including the Wears Valley Fall Fest and Roads and Rivers Day while earning community service hours to help fulfill education requirements. In addition, TAB helps develop leadership, problem solving, planning, project management, and interpersonal skills that will better prepare students for college or the work force.

Recently, TAB created an event for KSB called 2018 Plogging Day; a day where the community collectively goes out to pick up litter while they jog. Plogging is the latest environmental fitness craze sweeping the nation and TAB was very interested in implementing this practice in their community. TAB was responsible for organizing, advertising, and hosting the 2018 Plogging Day event. The event received lots of attention and TAB hopes to make this an annual event for the public.
